“Clash for Clunkers”
Is this not the coolest name for a government-backed deal that you’ve ever heard? Yea… it is. At least I think so. But anywhoo, for those of us who are not aware of the details of this “deal”, here it is: This is an economically stimulating, trade in your old car for a value of $3500-$4500 towards a new car, supposed to get the american dollar running type of deal. Make sense? Well, of course it makes a lot of cents! But the reality of the matter is that the government has only paid back approximately 2% of the claims submitted.
Does this hiccup affect us? Actually, not really, but the fact that approximately 4 out of 5 customers’ applications have been rejected for a “minor oversight”! Now this is where it affects us!
Hopefully the government that get more transparent guidelines out publicly so that we are prepared? Maybe? We’ll see…
